Understand carbon fiber wheel

Carbon fiber is a high-strength and superior-modulus fiber made from organic fibers that have been transformed through a series of heat treatments and contains more than 90% carbon. Carbon fibers have great qualities such as high axial strength and modulus, low density, resistance to ultra-high temperatures in non-oxidizing environments, excellent resistance to creep, stress rupture, fatigue, and corrosive environments, and good thermal conductivity.

As an enhanced material, carbon fiber are mainly used to make composites with resin, metal, ceramic and charcoal, thus turns into advanced composite material. It has intrinsic traits of carbon material as well as soft processability of textile fiber.

To manufacturing our company’s carbon fiber wheel, we adopt compressing molding method to ensure the brightness and flatness of the rim surface on both side as well as ensure the precise size for standard parameters of rim, wheel lips, bead seats, hump and other parts. Air-tightness is also enhanced. The inner rims have connecting rings as designed which the wheel can be produced as one piece.

The density of carbon fiber is only half of the aluminum alloy but carbon fiber offers strength eight times than aluminum alloy does. Therefore using carbon fiber composites wheel can greatly reduce weight and enhance tensile and anti-fatigue strength. Bonny carbon fiber wheel is 50% lighter than any aluminum alloy wheel of the same size.
